Old Gods, New Blood: Deadlock's Biggest Update Yet

Old Gods, New Blood
A Major Update Reshaping Deadlock
Deadlock just got its biggest update yet. "Old Gods, New Blood" brings six new heroes, completely redesigned Patron encounters, a fast-paced Street Brawl mode, major HUD improvements, and a bunch of quality-of-life changes. This is easily the most significant content drop since early access started.
For the complete breakdown with all the nitty-gritty details, balance changes, and patch notes, head over to the official Deadlock blog at playdeadlock.com/oldgods. They explain everything way better than we can summarize here. But if you want the quick version of what's new, keep reading.
Six New Heroes
The roster just expanded with six fresh faces, each bringing their own unique playstyle to the game:
Apollo

Celeste

Graves

Rem

Silver

Venator

Each hero has their own unique abilities and playstyle. Check out the full update page for detailed ability breakdowns and gameplay tips.
Redesigned Patrons and Bases
The Patron fights got a complete visual and gameplay overhaul. The Archmother and Hidden King now have fresh designs and new mechanics that make the end-game objectives more exciting.

The base layouts got updated too, creating better defensive positions and more strategic gameplay around the Patron encounters.
Street Brawl: New Game Mode
If you want quick, action-packed matches without the full commitment of a regular game, Street Brawl is your new best friend. It's a faster-paced mode that cuts out a lot of the farming and gets you straight into the action.

How Items Work in Street Brawl

Here's the cool part - instead of shopping normally, the game gives you random item choices at different phases. You pick from what you're offered, and you get one reroll per phase if you don't like your options. It keeps every match feeling different and forces you to adapt on the fly.

Matches are shorter (15-20 minutes), you level up faster, and everything is designed to keep the action moving. It's perfect for warming up or just having some fun without the full game commitment.
Better HUD and Interface
The UI got a lot cleaner and easier to read. They added helpful hints, made troopers easier to spot, and generally improved how information is displayed during matches.

New Postgame Experience
After each match, you now get a detailed breakdown with MVP highlights, performance stats, and scorecards. It's way better than before for understanding how you actually performed.

And a Ton More
There are way too many improvements to list here - better matchmaking, improved ping system, performance optimizations, updated tutorials, and lots of other quality-of-life stuff. Seriously, go read the full patch notes on the official site if you want all the details.
This update is huge and there's something for everyone. Jump in and try out the new heroes, mess around in Street Brawl, or just enjoy the smoother overall experience. For the complete breakdown, visit playdeadlock.com/oldgods - they've got all the specifics laid out way better than we can here.
